Adam Banks began his career as an airline pilot and understands what it is like to function at a very high level and struggle with addiction. Adam was flying the morning of 9/11 and the traumatic event led to his addiction where he “medicated pain with partying.”
Today, Adam has helped hundreds of people break free from drug and alcohol addictions by customizing programs and inspiring change. Having a lived experience of addiction, he understands that programs should work towards recovery in “real life.”
Successful recovery comes in many ways and many forms, and Adam has supported many individuals and families as they achieve recovery through goal-setting and continuous self-improvement.
Adam is dedicated to helping others achieve long-term sobriety. His work as an interventionist has guided executives, pilots, and physicians on paths to recovery. Adam brings families together through a loving and inclusive approach.
Adam recently authored Navigating Recovery Ground School: 12 Lessons to Help Families Navigate Recovery. In this lesson book, Adam walks families through the entire intervention process.
“When families come together in a structured and positive intervention change will occur. Intervention drops a pin in time, the family decides enough is enough and addresses addiction with a new, and structured, determination.”
