Addiction Intervention in Massachusetts

If you are worried about a loved one and their drug and/or alcohol abuse, an intervention in Massachusetts might be the next step to take.

Massachusetts is the home of the Boston Red Sox, headquarters of Dunkin’ Donuts, and location for the prestigious Ivy League school called Harvard, besides also being one of our nation’s founding colonies to help establish the United States of America. Unfortunately, it is also home to people battling dangerous substances and who are in need of drug and or alcohol intervention.

People can’t deny there is a sense of community in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, bonding over the love of sports, and history, and enjoying the wonderful weather with our families. But coming together to combat a drug or alcohol addiction, whether you are the addicted person seeking help or the loved one of someone addicted, can be challenging when you aren’t sure where to get the proper help.

Intervention.com can provide the resources you need for an intervention in Massachusetts, coming together with desperate families who want to see their loved ones freed from the clutches of addiction and making strides toward recovery and sobriety.

Among the overdose deaths, fentanyl was the main culprit with 93% of the deaths, followed by cocaine at 51%, benzodiazepines at 31%, prescription opioids at 13%, heroin at 10%, and amphetamines at 10%.

In regards to alcohol, the statistics aren’t any better. As reported by the National Center for Drug Abuse Statistics, an average of 2,760 deaths are attributed to alcohol abuse per year in Massachusetts. From 2015 to 2019, the five-year average of deaths from excessive alcohol abuse in Massachusetts has increased by as much as 57.2%. Globally, the CDC estimates that excessive alcohol abuse has contributed to 71,022 deaths per year and cost the state of Massachusetts $5.635 billion, which, considering inflation in 2022, would be $7.607 billion.

Needless to say, substance abuse has become a growing trend in dangerous living that only the love of family and friends, combined with professional help, can stop. An intervention might be the next step for your loved one to see their habit is out of control and that they aren’t alone.
