Missouri, the “Show-Me State” where Mark Twain was born, the Gateway Arch graces the St. Louis landscape, and people from everywhere flock to enjoy the excitement of Branson, Missouri. But something Missouri also has available for people is intervention services.

Missouri is, unfortunately, known as the meth lab capital of the country, recently reported as having 3,108 labs in 2015 and being at the top of the list for meth labs, and meth lab mishaps, since 2003.

But the “Show-Me State” doesn’t have to settle with this fact, especially if your loved one has gotten tangled with meth or other illegal substances and/or alcohol. There is always hope on the horizon and recovery in the midst.

If you suspect that your loved one is battling an addiction that is slowly winning over them, the time is now to act and determine if an intervention is the next course of action to get your loved one the help they need.

How Our Addiction Intervention Works in Missouri

Our intervention programs are crafted to make sure that all those involved, especially your loved one, are treated with respect and dignity during one of the most challenging times in their lives. Staging an intervention is never an easy task but with the right support and intervention plan in place, all will experience respect, love, and hope.

Addiction intervention programs are available for drug abuse, alcohol abuse, eating disorders, and mental health conditions. Our interventionists work together with the family and friends of an addicted person to decide on what approach would be best to help a loved one see their addiction is out of control and needs to stop.

There is more than one type of intervention to consider for your loved one, which is discussed prior to the intervention. Some options include confronting your loved one face to face, with the guidance of our interventionist, to share with them your feelings about their addiction and that they need to get help. Others include a workshop that allows our interventionist to create a discussion space where the addicted person and their family and friends can openly talk about the addiction.

All our approaches are to ensure that everyone’s voice is heard and that the intervention is handled with the addicted person’s dignity in mind.

Substance Abuse Trends in Missouri

As mentioned earlier, Missouri is one of the leading states for the production of methamphetamines, which includes fentanyl, while drug overdoses are the leading cause of death in the state for adults ages 18-44.

Within a ten-year poll, from 2010-2020, synthetic opioids (methadone, fentanyl, oxycodone) quickly became the drug of choice for Missouri over heroin, and over 70% of drug overdose deaths are attributed to opioids. Unfortunately now with the prevalence of dangerous opioids on the market like fentanyl, more people are getting their hands on the drugs and dying because of it.

The drug epidemic has a hold on our nation, with over 96,000 people dying of drug overdoses each year, accounting for 72% of deaths (or 7 out of every 10 deaths). The time is now to rally around your loved one and prevent their death from becoming another startling statistic.

How Our Missouri Intervention Programs Aid in Recovery

Our Missouri intervention programs work to not only educate addicted people of the harm they are putting in their bodies and on their loved ones but enlighten them about the fact that treatment programs are available.

Sometimes people don’t have family in the Missouri area to intervene for them or they believe solutions aren’t available to aid them in recovery and successfully becoming sober. However, our intervention programs remind people in Missouri that there is help for whatever their addiction might be.

We regularly use the Breakfree Intervention method that combines a “family-infused intervention with a long-term family recovery curriculum.” This allows families of addicted people to feel part of the decision-making and intervention process with our experienced interventionists to ensure that once recovery is reached, their loved one stays there.
